We have lots of exciting activities and events planned for this semester, including the Atlanta Area AMA Collegiate Conference on February 19th and the AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans on April 8th.
In order to provide as much scheduling flexibility as possible, we now have two official meeting times. Both meetings will be covering the same agenda, so we hope that you can make at least one of them.
Our standard meeting times are as follows:
Wednesdays at 3:30pm and Thursdays at 6:30pm.
The room locations are always subject to change, but we will attempt to always hold the Wednesday meetings in BB382 and Thursday meetings in BB371. Stay tuned to our Facebook page and website calendar in order to stay informed about possible changes.
Registration for the Atlanta Area AMA Collegiate Conference is now available. After you register, send a copy of the registration receipt to the KMA Email at KennesawMarketing@gmail.com so that we can keep track of who all will be attending. Also, feel free to make a post on the KMA Facebook discussion in order to alert and connect with other members who will also be attending.

Facebook
Everyone knows Facebook. If you use it, then you should also join the KMA Facebook group page. I am unable to link directly to the page, just search groups for Kennesaw Marketing Association, and join the one with the most recent posts. Joining Facebook will allow you to interact with other KMA members, stay up to date on KMA events, and further strengthen your social network.
Linked In – Its not what you know, its who you know.
Linked In is a business-oriented professional networking website. Many students, faculty, and experienced professionals use Linked In to strengthen their network base, maintain long term professional relationships, and find career-focused employment.
Creating a professional profile is quick, easy and free. And if you are not already on Linked In, then you are missing out on a great opportunity to sell yourself to future prospective employers. Current stats show that ¾ employers Google their prospective candidates before contacting them. If you are on Linked in, then they will have something of value to find and give you a second opportunity to differentiate yourself from the competition.
Once you join Linked In, search for the KMA group page, and start connecting with fellow classmates, KMA members, faculty, and experienced professionals. Also, if you would like your name on the KMA website linked to your Linked In profile, then send an email with a link to your public profile to our Communications Chair, Chris Roell, at chrisroell@gmail.com.
